Hello, my name is Christie Smitherman. I am the Elementary Principal and District GT Coordinator. I have been in education for 21 years. I am a lifelong resident of Franklin and a graduate of Franklin High School. I am also a graduate of Texas A&M University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and of Sam Houston State University with a Masters of Education in Administration.

My husband and I live on our ranch in Franklin. We have four children who keep us very busy with all their activities from sporting events to the show ring.

I truly believe that I had a calling to become a teacher. I love teaching and spending time getting to know each child individually. I have high expectations for every child and confidence that all will rise to the challenge.
