The mission of the Franklin Independent School District's Child Nutrition Department is to support the essential link between nutrition and education.
The goals of the Child Nutrition Department are to:
- Ensure that every student is offered a nutritious and high quality meal.
- Provide all with excellent customer service by qualified staff adhering to high sanitation and safety standards.
- Utilize cost-effectiveness and industry best practices.
- Follow the USDA/TDA Child Nutrition Program guidelines.
Students are the backbone of the Child Nutrition Program, and as such, always require a caring word and a pleasant smile.

Food shortages are nationwide, and our district is also experiencing unavailable items or last minute replacements. Menus are subject to change, but we will do our best to notify you via social media if there are any changes.
We appreciate your patience and understanding! We look forward to serving all of our students free breakfast and lunch this school year.
