Principal’s Message

A woman with brown hair smiles at the camera, wearing a teal top.Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to the start of an exciting new school year at Roland Reynolds Elementary. I am ecstatic about the upcoming year and ready to see the smiling faces in our hallways. I look forward to getting to know each of you and building those relationships this year.

At Roland Reynolds Elementary we believe in a team effort; students, parents, teachers, and the community working together to assure the best education for our students. We want this to be a happy and productive year for your child. Our doors are always open to help with any questions or concerns you have.

As a lifelong resident of Franklin, I am honored to have been chosen to serve in this capacity for the district. I am in love with our town and school which emcompasses rich traditions.

I encourage you to be involved in your child’s education, get to know their teachers, check their backpacks for notes and school work, get them to school on time each day, encourage them when things get hard, and READ, READ, READ with and to them! Education is a family affair - - -a family at school and a family at home. Let’s all work together to make sure “OUR CHILDREN” have the best foundation for success!

Warm regards,
Christie Smitherman
