Dear Parents, Community Members and Staff,

Since 2006, passing bonds in our school community has been vital to providing the best experience possible for our student learning experience. The FISD School Board and Administration takes great pride in the maintenance and stewardship of our academic and extracurricular facilities.

Due to the tremendous support of our community in the passage of these bonds, FISD has maintained an “A” accountability rating and competed on the state level in Band, Baseball, FCCLA, FFA, Golf, Football, Softball, Tennis, and Track. These extracurricular activities teach our students valuable life skills in addition to rigorous academic standards.

Additionally, bond funds provide for the safety and security of our students. Funds are used to harden our schools against potential internal and external threats to our students and staff. New buses provide for our students to be transported in and out of the district in a safe manner with little worries of maintenance issues.

Since 2011-2012, FISD has sent over 110 million dollars to the state provided by the taxes of our residents. Bonds are a means to keep our tax dollars local in order for us to dictate what we spend our money on versus TEA and State Legislators without raising taxes on our constituents.

Please see the attached Fact Sheet regarding our 2026 bond.

Sincerely,

FISD Administration
